Friends at Oriola Law

Our friends over at Oriola Law have been working hard with families to help them with some of the recent tragedies in PA. With Abbott family it was only a matter of time before they realized the damage that was done to their little boy Greggory. We feel very much for them and hope that they will feel some comfort by keeping in contact with the great people at Oriola Law. They were referred to the Sachmans Law Firm, and are working with the birth injury lawyers there to improve their current situation.

Its amazing once again, that people exist like the people at Oriola Law who guide and help those who need it. Right now we want to give a big thanks to Crystal, Dee and Daniel who have done an extraordinary job at encouraging people since they have been working together. Keep up the great work guys.

Cerebral Palsy

The term cerebral palsy encompasses a large group of conditions that are not contagious and are not degenerative. This means that we can’t get it from someone else when you are around them and that they do not progress with age, although the full scope of impairment may not be readily assessed. It is damage to the cerebellum or other parts of the brain that control motor function in the individuals. And a common misconception is that people suffering from cerebral palsy have mental retardation. Only those that had damage to the frontal cerebral cortex or hippocampus actually have mental retardation. Some palsy sufferers have learning disabilities, it is not usually reflective of thier IQ. There is only a very small amount of known cerebral palsy that is genetic, and cerebral palsy due to asphyxia, or lack or oxygen to the brain during pregnancy, childbirth or infancy is a just a one cause of cerebral palsy. Others include, but are not limited to, low birth weight or premature births, trauma during pregnancy or birth, shaken baby syndrome, and infections and interference due to cytokines (bodies natural reaction to infection).

When we think of lawyer, a deceitful person comes to mind, instead of an advocate of justice. We also usually think of monetary gains when we involve a lawyer. But codes of law and their petitioners have been around since the beginning of civilization. We think of civilization as the linking relationships between people and the society as a whole. But there must be rules to govern and keep the peace, as much as their must be punishment to those that don’t adhere to such. And when we think of the natural deceit of human nature, there must be those that defend the law and those that use the law to defend themselves.

Lawyers come into play as those that are well read in their codes and practises and that can wield the power of words to sway a judge and/or jury. They must understand the law and its intrincities. And they have to have a relieable way with words and speech, and very much me aware of different situations that can add up to a good defense.
